ABC released a new trailer for its next Marvel show, “Inhumans,” at San Diego Comic-Con Thursday and fans have a lot to say about it. Most of those things are not good.

The show follows a royal family of superhumans which includes characters like Black Bolt (Anson Mount), his wife Medusa (Serinda Swan), and his brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon, “Game of Thrones”).

Fans tore apart the first trailer released June 29 as laughable, disparaging its costumes and effects. While fans admit the trailer is better than the first one released in June, there are still some things about it that are off to people. After the Comic-Con trailer for the show dropped online, reactions were extremely mixed with a lot of fans referring to it as looking “cheap.”

If I knew less, it would definitely be possible for me to mistake those INHUMANS trailers as some BTS featurettes.

The YouTube comments on the trailer range from calling it a “cheap Chinese knockoff of the X-Men” to people being insulted Marvel released this and not the “Infinity War” trailer that premiered at D23 Expo.

The footage that screened for fans at Comic-Con was reportedly laughed at as well.

They weren’t laughing in a good way. Slashfilm’s editor Peter Sciretta previewed 15 minutes of the show at Comic-Con and said it looked terrible.

…school level looking visual effects, unmotivated overlit conematography, unnecessary slow motion shots. The crowd laughed at the footage.

Here are his full thoughts:

“Wow #Inhumans looks worse than I ever possibly could have imagined. Badly written, horrible costumes, cheaply looking designs, film school level looking visual effects, unmotivated overlit cinematography, unnecessary slow motion shots. The crowd laughed at the footage.”

Eric Vespe at Ain’t it Cool News also didn’t have good things to say.

Saw the Inhumans trailer at the IMAX tonight. I say this as a big Marvel fan: that show looks laughably, outrageously, aggressively awful. pic.twitter.com/3JVxflBYmg

Finally watched the #Inhumans trailer and y’know what? I’m not mad by it. Costumes look bland but casting & Lockjaw made me happy.
